She came from Kurdistan to Egypt to achieve her dream by PGS technique after repeated miscarriage

Her story started 5 years ago. She has seen doctors in over 5 countries, along 3 continents” Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Iran and finally Egypt”. She had only one question “why do I keep having miscarriages?” Over the years, she had several IVF attempts. None of them was successful. All her pregnancies ended with congenital abnormalities, and no one of the babies had a chance of survival

Beside medicine, she tried a lot of spiritual healers. She had a thing against Mondays. She wouldn’t do any medical intervention, or make any appointment on this day. She spent a good part of her time in the graveyard, imaging that her deceased baby is asking for lactation. She took what called happiness pills as spiritual healers told her

When she first came to us, she handed us a five pages letter where she expressed her fears and hopes, and how much she suffered in the past. She rented a place near our clinic, and decided to stay in Egypt till she has a healthy baby. No matter how long it would take

A hard and exhausting part of our job as doctors is the exaggeration of patients in judgment. If a doctor succeeded to achieve patient’s expectation , he is an angle sent from heavens! And if luck wasn’t in his side, then he is a fraud and responsible for all the trouble in his patient’s life. Unfortunately, the health care workers are exposed to this kind of judgment. Best thing you can do about it is helping your patient as much as you can, and God will do the rest

We studied her condition carefully. Then analyzed every past experience she had. We had to get to the cause of her frequent failure with IVF. And only then, we decided to begin trying

PGS ”Pre-implantation genetic screening” technique of ICSI “intra- cytoplasmic sperm injection” was her best option We subjected the embryos to chromosomal analysis. Then we transferred the best of them back to her. We kept monitoring the fetus with ultra-sonography, and did all the work up necessary to ensure fetal well-being. I can’t describe her excitement and thrill during the whole period of pregnancy

This is the story of a woman who wouldn’t give up. She did everything she can to get to her dream. And God rewarded her hard work and efforts

This success happens every day, starting from the youngest doctors, working with the least medical facilities in poorly equipped hospitals, to the most senior, experienced ones working with the latest technology in the world. Both of them spare no effort in helping their patients

I won’t forget this lovely lady and her family. I will always cherish the trust she had in me. Her faith kept us going and working hard for her

My sincere gratitude goes to all my team; our embryologist, my fellow assistants and every member in our team share in preparation of royal delivery of her baby, and make her dream come true

Never lose hope and always ask God for cure
