After long struggle, finally she get rid of fibriods and ready to get pregnant

She came to our clinic from Libya had over 24 uterine fibroids, ovarian cyst, hydrosalpinx “enlargement of the fallopian tubes”, and adenomyosis “a condition in which the inner lining of the womb, breaks through its muscular wall” complaining of vaginal bleeding, with severe pain in the tummy every period and severe anaemia and this led to many complications and severe adhesion in the pelvis

Two attempts of surgery were done at two different Arabian countries for removing all of these tumors, but nothing was done. “The adhesion were extensive” she was told. “Injury to the bowel is inevitable” and her womb was markedly enlarged reaching diaphragm

Her condition was getting worse and No gynecologist would take the risk of another surgical intervention

She was a fan of our Face book page for over a year. She recommended our clinic to two of her friends. One is an IVF case; another one needed removal of multiple uterine fibroids. With God’s help we had a success in both cases. This encouraged her to take the decision and to come

Actually I do not know why I agree to accept these complicated cases. But I always felt that this is my role. And god helps me to achieve that and to treat them

Before her surgery, I explained the situation to her and her husband. I needed to make sure that they understand the severity of her condition

And the day has come. She was anemic. And our major concern was how to avoid any bleeding. Even with the proper blood transfusion, and fluid resuscitation, the bleeding would be severe and difficult to control in such severe adhesion. So the first thing I thought was reaching the arteries that supply the womb and control them. This will make removing the fibroids easier and without any significant bleeding

We spared no effort. The patient was properly prepared; blood transfusion for temporary correction of her anemia, fluid administration to maintain her blood pressure. And after more than 6 hours in the operating room, we did it

All the fibroids were removed, adenomyosis was resected, along with ovarian cystectomy and all the adhesion were broken and preservation of the colon without any injury

She recovered well. God rewarded her, and her husband, for all the years of patience and hard work
