Story started when she was told “congratulations, you are pregnant but your womb should be removed….!!!”

Her First pregnancy has passed peacefully. Everything went fine without any complications. Unfortunately, her second pregnancy got a little bit complicated. During the first few weeks, her pregnancy hormone level in blood went through the roof. The fetal heart-beats stopped, and his growth was restricted

She consulted a lot of doctors to find out the cause of this unexplained rise of her hormone level. And as you might expect, she heard a lot of different opinions. Some said it was a molar pregnancy “abnormal form of pregnancy in which a non-viable fertilized egg implants in the womb and will fail to come to term forming vesicles fulling the womb cavity”. Other thought it was a uterine fibroid growing alongside with her pregnancy.  But her scariest diagnosis ever was Choriocarcinoma. This is a fast-growing cancer that occurs in a woman’s womb, originating from the placenta. And many doctors discussed the urgency and necessity of performing a hysterectomy” removing the whole womb”. She wasn’t convinced with those opinions and came to our clinic all the way from Upper Egypt

Our first intervention was done, and biopsy was taken from this mass, and sent to the most accurate labs in Egypt for tissue analysis. And the results came back: a small portion of the placenta from the previous pregnancy was still attached to the outer wall of the bladder, and deeply invaded the womb wall and peritoneum” layer laying on the organs inside the tummy”.  And with only God’s help, we were able to remove these remaining pieces of the placenta, without the need of womb removing

Of course we did a complete checkup afterwards with a lot of imaging techniques, and lab wok, to make sure that this issue was put to bed

The important message here is about patience. This made a huge difference in her condition. And when faced with difficult choices as mentioned before, it’s important to consult others, and hear about all your choices
